A man has been charged over alleged property fraud totalling nearly $395 million.
The 60-year-old man is facing five counts of obtain financial advantage by deception stemming from an investigating into his dealings as an employee at a Melbourne-based property company.
Police will allege the finance was fraudulently obtained between April and July 2019 and was purported to be for the purchase of apartment buildings and their planned lease.
The matter will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on March 26.
