We’ve compiled a list of the best heated pools in and around the city, which you can follow up with a steam to replace winter woollies.
St Kilda Sea Baths
Take a luxurious step-up from the average lap pool at the St Kilda Sea Baths.
With heated salt water the 25m pool is not one to miss.
Additionally the centre offers a hydrotherapy pool, steam room and lounge area with bay views.

Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC)
Take a lap in the State’s professional home of swimming at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC).
With a range of indoor and outdoor pools there is room for every level of swimmer and bump shoulders with the best in the country.

Melbourne City Baths
Open since 1860, the Melbourne City Baths is the largest swimming pool in the CBD.
Clock off after work and admire the building’s unique design details while carving up some backstroke.
Works are underway to upgrade the baths, but swimming won’t be stopped just yet.

Fitzroy Swimming Pool
Visit the legendary 50m outdoor heated pool in Fitzroy to perfectly capture Melbourne’s nostalgic suburban architecture.
The pool was saved in the 1990s by local activists including the heritage listed ‘Aqua Profonda’ sign.

The Richmond 50m pool is the oldest in Melbourne and is frequented by Olympians, footballers and athletes.

With eight lane open for lap swimmers and general use visitors can take a swim before relaxing in the spas and sauna.
