A former PwC associate who allegedly sexually assaulted dozens of women at an infamous Melbourne nightclub must wait for lawyers to sift through “extensive” CCTV footage.
David Maria Anthony Rayan fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday afternoon for a committal mention where police levelled a total of 74 charges against him related to groping, kissing, or touching women without consent.
When his matter was called, the Clyde North man stood at the back of the courtroom before Magistrate Stephen Ballek demanded he approach the bar table.

Court documents allege the 33-year-old sexually assaulted 34 women at a Prahran nightclub across three weekends in September and October last year.
In court, Magistrate Ballek revealed that police allege the assaults took place inside Chapel St’s infamous Revolver Upstairs nightclub.
Mr Rayan’s lawyer, Kieran Burke requested an adjournment because case conferencing would take “considerable time” and there was a prospect of the matter resolving.
Mr Burke referred to the number of complainants (34) and the “extensive” CCTV to be reviewed which he said was difficult to see clearly.
The matter was adjourned to June 14 for a further committal mention.
Mr Rayan’s bail was extended on the same conditions to that date.
