Zach Tuohy will go from a Cat to a Cobra next year after signing for Bacchus Marsh.
The 286-game Geelong and Carlton player has made the move to the Ballarat league after retiring from the AFL last year.
The Irishman finished as one of the greatest football exports to come from his home country.
There were rumours the premiership player would move to the club, joining former teammate and Cobras coach Dennis Armfield at Bacchus Marsh, and on Friday night the team confirmed the news.
“We are thrilled to announce that Geelong premiership star Zach Tuohy is becoming a Cobra,” the club said.
“Our club is excited to now be a part of his story.”
Touhy is one of a host of former players to join the Cobras after finishing in the AFL.
He joins Damian Cupido and Andrejs Everitt as Cobras players post-AFL career.
