Mordialloc is in need of its third senior coach in five games after the immediate resignation of Ben McGee.

McGee was appointed Mordialloc’s coach in October 2023, replacing sacked mentor Brendon Moore.

The Bloodhounds have had a difficult start to 2024, suffering 70, 96, 101 and 87-point defeats across the first four rounds.

McGee informed the club of his decision on Monday night.

McGee was “disappointed” by the outcome after falling in love with a playing group he felt “turned a corner” on Saturday.

“It was a pretty big rebuild that I was more than up for,” he said.

“It’s a lovely playing group, I have so much respect for them and I will definitely miss having regular contact with them.”

McGee says he is “100 per cent” still interested in being a senior coach in the future.

President Jason Zealley was contacted for comment.
