Some of Victoria’s most promising junior footballers have gone head-to-head during the recent interleague carnival. See who stood out.

The leading junior footballers from across metropolitan Melbourne strutted their stuff on the big stage of the AFL Vic Metro Junior Development Series.
Now we’ve named the top performers from across the carnival.
U14 BOYS DIV 1
Jake Bajinskis, EDFL
From Aberfeldie, the young gun was consistent with three mentions in the best. Booted five in his side’s win over the RDFNL.
Tyler Cross, WFNL
Brought the exact form he has shown at Williamstown Juniors, carrying on an impressive record of being named in the best in every game he has played this season.
Zachariya Kassaby, YJFL
The Kew Comet junior added plenty of class to his side and made strong impressions throughout.
Tobias Kruckow, WFNL
The Yarraville Seddon product finished as the leading goalkicker in the division with 12 goals. He booted 10 in the opener.
Stanley Moore, YJFL
Won two best on ground medals during the carnival after outstanding displays.
Kobe Page, WFNL
page was impressive throughout the tournament and consistently showed he was able to hit the scoreboard with four goals.
Alfie Rowley, NFNL
Out of Diamond Creek’s program, Rowley produced an impressive carnival with eight goals across three games and two mentions in the best.
Sebastian Gigliotti Sevas, NFNL
The Mernda youngster impressed when he was given his opportunity, catching the eye of his coaches in three straight games.
Rory Stone, EFNL
The Lysterfield young gun impressed throughout with three mentions in the best. He played in the Hawthorn Academy games earlier this season.
Darcy Tabain, NFNL
The Diamond Creek rising star produced an impressive carnival with a mention in the best in every game.
William Young, EDFL
Keilor’s young had plenty of positive moments throughout the competition and was named in the best in every game.
U14 GIRLS DIV 1
Florence Claringbold, F&DJFL
The Mount Eliza junior thrived at the level with three mentions in the best as a standout for her side.
Lucy Gazzola, YJFL
A Surrey Park Panther who impressed. She was a standout with two goals against the SMJFL.
India Hoppe, SMJFL
Lit up the opening two games in particular with three and four-goal performances but was brilliant throughout.
Stephanie Koutsoumbas, WFNL
The young gun from Newport Power thrived at the higher level and consistently delivered strong performances.
Isabella Milchman, SMJFL
The Prahran young gun brought the goalkicking form, 18 goals in five games, to the rep scene with 11 goals in three games. Milchman booted five twice.
Chloe Milner, EDFL
Out of Maribyrnong Park, Milner showed her goalkicking display most notably against the F&DJFL with three goals.
Taliah Pistikakis, EDFL
She’s been brilliant for Maribyrnong Park at local level this season and this rising star showed her class with three mentions in the best capped off by four goals.
Elke Plevritis, SMJFL
From Beaumaris, she lit up the competition with dazzling displays to be named in the best three times.
Jasmine Spring-Brown, EDFL
Hailing from Essendon Doutta Stars, the young gun was in the best on three occasions. Such is her ability, she’s already stepped up into the U16s this year.
Willow Templeton, F&DJFL
Templeton, who usually plays for Langwarrin, was a consistent performer and earned three mentions in the best.
U15 BOYS DIVISION 1
Owen Burchfield, NFNL
Whittlesea’s Burchfield was impressive and consistent as he was nominated in the best in every game.
Kai Croswell, RDFNL
The Sunbury Lions product caught the eye with three performances which saw him among his coaches favourite players.
Luca Dryden, YJFL
The Fitzroy youngster showed plenty of promising signs throughout the competition.
Ashton Harrison, F&DJFL
Part of the Langwarrin FC. Performed strongly throughout the carnival and kicked at least one goal in every game.
Hayden Johnstone, RDFNL
The Gisborne Rookies young gun was consistently one of his side’s better players as he earned three straight mentions in the best.
Julian Laudato, WFNL
Played for the Western Bulldogs Academy series earlier this year. Named in the best in every game he played.
Lincoln O’Hare, EFNL
The North Ringwood junior finished as the leading goalkicker in the competition with 10 goals in three games.
Logan Phee, WFNL
The St Bernard’s young gun was a consistent goalkicker with multiple majors in every game he played.
Jakobi Smith-Laycock, NFNL
Enjoyed strong performances, most notably over the long weekend, as he built on impressive performances for Yarrambat.
Nathan Wing, EDFL
Impressed throughout the competition, earning his chance after stunning for Aberfeldie, and was mentioned in the best three times.
U15 GIRLS DIVISION 1
Grace Anstess, SMJFL
Represented the Northern Territory earlier this year at the national titles and brought the same form to the interleague carnival.
Ava Baxter, SMJFL
From the footy factor which is Beaumaris, Baxter was able to show off her talents in several ways throughout the competition.
Ava Bortignon, YJFL
A consistent performer, who is also part of the Eastern Ranges program, Bortignon hit the scoreboard consistently.
Sienna Marcou, YJFL
A consistent goalkicker throughout the carnival. The Beverley Hills junior saved her best for last with three goals in the final game.
Sky Morgan, NFNL
One of the most talented youngsters out of her region. Morgan was in the best in all three games. She has played for Carlton’s Academy and the Northern Knights.
Dimi Papadopoulos, EDFL
A consistent performer with her club side, Maribyrnong Park, Papadopoulos was equally as strong during interleague.
Camryn Rabie, EFNL
A consistent goalkicker from Wantirna South who brought the same level to the carnival with four goals and two mentions in the best.
Grace Robinson, NFNL
Currently part of the Northern Knights under-16s set up. Robinson was in the best in every game for her side and also showed she could hit the scoreboard.
Addison Szymanski, EFNL
The Beaconsfield rising star was a standout at the representative level with three straight mentions in the best.
Sophie Waters, EDFL
Finished as the leading goalkicker in the competition with seven, including two hauls of three, across her three games.
