Lang Lang may have already sewn up recruit of the year.
The Tigers have geared up their Ellinbank league premiership hopes with the signing of champion local forward Marc Holt.
Holt, who has kicked well over 1000 goals at local level for Cranbourne and Karingal, has crossed to the Tigers for season 2024.
After a brief retirement this season, Holt returned to the Eagles in round 2 and went on to boot 64 majors for a side that lost the Southern league Division 1 grand final by a kick.
Lang Lang coach Daniel Fry saw Holt at the peak of his powers while playing for Pakenham but is now looking forward to seeing the goal kicker on his side.
“I played against Holty for a number of years and had a front-row seat on a few occasions,” he said in a club statement.
“His hand eye is next level, he’s a fierce competitor and has a genuine love for the game.
“I watched a couple of his games this year, he’s fit, still got super hands and hitting the scoreboard in a higher standard.
“We identified early we needed a big forward to ensure we can hit the scoreboard and spread the load.
“So, why not go out and get arguably the best of the modern era in country footy.”
The Tigers finished sixth this season with nine wins.
