AS Frankston YCW strives to keep its title-defence alive, it has reappointed coach Wayne Capp for season 2019.
It’s a show of solidarity by the Stonecats as they try to put their season back on track after going six games without a win.

What a team, what a club; Frankston YCW wins grand final by 102 points to complete four-peat
Frankston YCW director of football operations John Coburn said it was a “no brainer” that Capp, who coached YC to a premiership in 2017, was handed a new deal.
“It was a pretty easy one actually because there’s been no issue there at all,” Coburn said.
“We are always monitoring what’s going on in the coaching department and we are more than happy with what Wayne’s been doing in the past one and a half years now, so it was a bit of a no-brainer for us.”
Frankston YCW has made the finals for 15 consecutive years, winning seven of the past eight flags.
But the Stonecats face a big challenge; they currently sit half a game outside of the five, in sixth spot, with five games to go. They host Edi-Asp on Saturday.
