Across Melbourne, thousands of people will descend on local grounds to watch some of the best talents outside the AFL.

Here’s where you can join them.

NORTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Banyule v St Mary’s — RJ Brockwell Oval (Heidelberg) at 4.10pm

You want Anzac Day experience in the suburbs? The Bears have it in spades with former Essendon players Scott Gumbleton, Brent Stanton and Ricky Dyson all set to suit up against St Mary’s. It will be the first time the trio have played together since 2012 when they wore the black and red. Banyule had the bye in Round 1 and started its season with a strong win over last year’s grand finalists Eltham. Meanwhile, St Mary’s has lost both its games this season after being promoted from Division 3.

DIVISION 1: Heidelberg v Macleod — Warringal Park (Heidelberg) at 2.10pm

DIVISION 2: Thomastown v Fitzroy Stars — Main St Recreation Reserve (Thomastown) at 2.10pm. Diamond Creek v Epping — Coventry Oval (Diamond Creek) at (2.10pm.

EASTERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

South Croydon v Blackburn — Cheong Park (South Croydon) at 2.10pm

South Croydon’s season is slipping and it needs a win to arrest the slide. Premiers in 2017 and grand finalists last year, the Bulldogs are winless from their first two games and history suggests reaching finals after a 0-3 start is very difficult. Blackburn confirmed pre-season suspicions it would be a team on the rise this year when it defeated Balwyn by 43 points on Good Friday to start its year 2-0.

DIVISION 4: Silvan v Coldstream — Silvan Recreation Reserve at 2.10pm

AFL OUTER EAST

Berwick v Healesville — Edwin Flack Reserve (Berwick) at 2.20pm

Berwick will play host to Healesville at Edwin Flack Reserve, keen to bounce back after last week’s loss to Wandin in a high-scoring epic. The Bloods will be looking to atone for a Round 1 drubbing at the hands of Upwey Tecoma.

DIVISION 1: Pakenham v Officer (3.15pm at Toomuc Reserve)

DIVISION 2: Kinglake v Yea (3.30pm at Kinglake Football Ground)

SOUTHERN

Cheltenham v Bentleigh — Jack Barker Oval (Cheltenham) at 2.30pm

Both the Rosellas and Demons will be looking to kick start their seasons with an important Anzac Day win after splitting their opening two games of the season. Neither club reached finals last season after being locked on nine wins, two games behind fifth-placed Dingley. Bentleigh claimed both matches against Cheltenham last year and will be looking to repeat that effort in 2019.

DIVISION 2: Murrumbeena v Caulfield — Murrumbeena Park at 2.45pm

DIVISION 3: Clayton v Endeavour Hills — Meade Reserve (Caulfield) at 2.15pm

ESSENDON DISTRICT

Avondale Heights v Aberfeldie — Canning Reserve (Avondale Heights) at 2.10pm

Avondale Heights and Aberfeldie return to Anzac Day action after a year off. Abers sit third after an undefeated start to the EDFL Premier division season, while Avondale Heights have split their first two games. The pair played out a thrilling draw in Round 4 last season before Aberfeldie claimed a convincing 52-point away win in the second meeting at Canning Reserve and Avondale Heights will be keen to avoid a repeat on the big stage.

PREMIER DIVISION: Glenroy v Strathmore — Sewell Reserve (Glenroy) at 2.35pm

DIVISION 1: Oak Park v Westmeadows — JP Fawkner Reserve (Oak Park) at 2.15pm

WESTERN REGION

Werribee Districts v Hoopers Crossing — Keogh Homes Oval (Werribee Districts) at 2.15pm

Last year’s grand finalists Hoppers Crossing face a tough Anzac Day assignment when they travel to Keogh Homes Oval. Werribee Districts started the season with a massive 188-point win over Albion in Round 1 before pipping Altona by a solitary point in Round 2. The Warriors started with a loss to Altona before a one-point win of their own over St Albans. With both clubs eyeing finals, an early-season win will be crucial come September.

DIVISION 2: Point Cook Centrals v Manor Lakes — Featherbrook Reserve (Point Cook) at 2.15pm

DIVISION 3: Braybrook v Albanvale — Pennell Reserve (Braybrook) at 2.15pm

RIDDELL

Macedon v Rupertswood — Tony Clarke Reserve (Macedon) at 2pm

A bumper crowd is expected for the traditional Anzac Day clash between Macedon and Rupertswood. Both teams are expected to be vying for higher honours at season’s end and will be determined to gain an early-season advantage. A new addition to the day will be an inaugural half-time sprint, which will hopefully feature a player from every club in the league. Macedon will be looking for redemption after suffering a 51-point loss in the match last year.
