He has a wrong ‘un and an arm-ball to go with his leg-spinner.
And Senin Seymour now has a hat-trick and two bags of wickets in his kit bag.
The 14-year-old from Ormond Cricket Club took 5-0, including three wickets in three balls, for the Monders’ Under 16A team on Friday night.
There was more five-for success for him on Saturday.
Senin took 5-13 for Ormond’s Sub-District Fourth XI team to give him weekend figures of 10-13.
Little wonder he had a kick in his step on Sunday morning as he trained with the club’s John Craig Shield Under 15 representative team.
“The first one was stumped, the second was caught at cover and the third was caught at silly mid-on,’’ Senin said of his hat-trick.
“The celebrations were pretty cool. They went on for about 10 minutes. We just jumped and ran all over the field.’’
Two more wickets followed and he didn’t concede a run from his two overs.
There was more joy for the McKinnon Secondary College student the following day in Sub-District ranks against Moorabbin, which was skittled for 70.
Senin has been playing cricket with Ormond since he was four and has made his way through the juniors grades to the seniors.
His ambition is to play for the Monders’ First XI.
Ormond Craig Shield coach Michael Cove said Senin was a fine prospect.
“I like his variation, his ability to bowl a googly and an arm-ball besides his leg-spinner,’’ Cove said.
“He bowls a beautiful wrong ‘un and he gives the ball flight and gets it nice and full.’’
Senin said his father, Darren, Cove, Ormond president Pat Camm and former Monders leggie Miles Sellenger, now at St Kilda, had helped him with his cricket.
