Men charged over alleged brutal assault of teen boy on Melbourne tram
Police have charged two men after a teenage boy was allegedly assaulted on a Melbourne tram last month.

Two men have been charged over the brutal assault of a 15-year-old boy on a tram in South Melbourne in April.
The arrests were made after an appeal for information from the Transit CIU detectives after the teen was assaulted on a tram travelling to Southern Cross Railway Station on Saturday April 23 about 9.15pm.
The teen was involved in an alleged verbal altercation with two men before they allegedly assaulted the boy and stomped on his head.
A 40-year-old man from South Melbourne has been charged with affray and committing an indictable offence while on bail. He will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Sunday.
A 37-year-old man from St Kilda has been charged with affray and has been bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in October 2022.
