A knife-wielding thug is still on the run following an attempted daylight armed robbery in St Kilda last month.
Investigators have been told a man produced a knife and threatened his victim on Fitzroy St about 1.15pm on August 16, demanding the victim’s property.
The victim refused and the offender fled the scene empty-handed.
Detectives have released images of a man who they believe can help with their inquiries.
The man is perceived to be caucasian in appearance with a stocky build.
He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, a dark beanie, white face mask and a distinctive striped scarf.
