A man charged over a terrifying road-rage incident involving four e-scooter riders will remain behind bars after fronting court on Wednesday.

Michael Gori, 32, is accused of driving his car towards the four men who were riding the electric scooters along St Kilda Rd on February 13.

Police will allege the men had a verbal exchange with a female pedestrian about 10.45pm.

The woman was picked up by a man driving a yellow Ford before the vehicle allegedly drove towards the four e-scooter riders.

No one was injured during the alleged incident.

Two of the alleged victims, Asad Syed and Richard Fatileh, told Leader the car allegedly drove at them.

Both men said they would continue to ride the scooters.

“We’re not gonna let anyone change our way of enjoying Melbourne,” Mr Syed said.

“If you do the right thing and you enjoy them, they are fantastic to use,” Mr Fatileh said.

Police executed a search warrant at a Craigieburn address on Wednesday and seized the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident.

Police also allegedly seized explosives, ammunition and drugs.

Mr Gori fronted a filing hearing in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court where he was formally hit with 10 charges.

The Craigieburn man was charged with offences including reckless conduct endangering serious injury, unlicensed driving and failure to stop after an accident.

Mr Gori did not apply for bail and will remain behind bars until his next hearing on March 9.
