Fiztroy Street’s Pizza E Birra serves up free cocktails for dogs

We’ve had “puppacinos” and doggie doughnuts, but this St Kilda pizza bar is upping its canine cuisine with a range of pet-friendly cocktails. With ingredients including apple, kale and broccoli, the free drinks are only available for a short time.

A St Kilda restaurant is shaking up its love of man’s best friend and offering them free “dogtails” this month.

The team at Pizza E Birra, on Fitzroy St, has created a menu that’s entirely safe for your furry friends to sip on while you enjoy something a little stronger.

The “Dogmopolitan” is a refreshing option for fruit loving pups, made with watermelon, mint and crushed ice.

For pooches who prefer greens, the “Pupjito” — a blend of spinach leaves, apple and celery — could be their tipple of choice.

And what canine could go past the “Dogtini”, a mixture of chicken stock, kale and broccoli.

Pizza E Birra is a pet-friendly pizza bar serving up wood-fired pizzas, wines, beers and cocktails.

There is also a bottomless pizza deal, available Monday to Thursday, where you can gorge on all the pizza, tap beer from Bricklane and house wine you can handle for $45 ($49 for the vegan option).

One free dogtail is provided per dog, available with any purchase from the human menu.
