Caulfield South man charged over alleged Glen Eira jewellery theft spree
A Caulfield South man who allegedly targeted the elderly during an eight-month burglary spree across Glen Eira has been charged. Now police are hoping to reunite jewellery and valuable trinkets with their owners. Could your lost valuables be among the haul?

An alleged Caulfield South jewellery thief has been caught preying on the elderly during an eight-month pilfering spree across Glen Eira.
Detectives recovered a large amount of allegedly stolen jewellery and valuable trinkets believed to have been taken from homes in the area between November 2019 and August 2020.
A 42-year-old Caulfield South man has been charged with four counts of aggravated burglary and has been remanded to face Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Now police want to reunite owners with the items taken from them, including cufflinks, vases, statues, collectable coins, medallions, camera equipment, a safe and a coin tray holding various items.
“It is alleged the man targeted mainly elderly victims, some of whom might not be aware the items have been stolen,” Senior Constable Alistair Parsons said.
If anyone believes they are missing items such as a the ones above, they should phone the Moorabbin police station on 9556 6565.
Anyone claiming an item will be required to provide proof of ownership.
Sen-Constable Parsons said several items had already been returned.
