A Port Melbourne real estate agent has been accused of fleecing her clients of more than $106,000 and using the cash to help buy a property of her own.

Consumer Affairs has launched legal action against Kylie Jane Campbell, director of BSM Realty, for alleged breaches of Victorian estate agent laws.

It is alleged that Ms Campbell, 47, transferred $106,509.90 from BSM Realty’s trust account to her own account to pay a $100,000 deposit on a property of her own.

The further $6509.90 was allegedly transferred to Ms Campbell’s personal account.

Consumer Affairs confirmed three customers had been impacted by the alleged offences, with Ms Campbell unable to refund two clients after their property purchases did not go ahead.

All three clients have since been reimbursed by the Victorian Property Fund.

The alleged offences occurred on February 19 and 23, 2019.

BSM Realty was deregistered on 31 July 2019.

A committal mention hearing for the matter is listed at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 14 April 2021.
