A western suburbs man believed to be a member of the Comanchero outlaw bikie gang has been charged for his alleged involvement in two assaults earlier in the month.

A 39-year-old man was arrested in Tarneit on August 27 by detectives from the Echo Taskforce during a raid on two properties.

After spending a night behind bars he was charged with common law assault, affray, intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault, use threatening words, fail to notify Firearm Prohibition Order registry of change of address and possess prohibited weapon.

He faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody to appear again on September 4.

Police have alleged the man was involved in an incident on August 13 in Windsor.

The man allegedly tried to enter a Chapel St store at 11.15pm when he was stopped by store security.

Police allege he became physically aggressive and assaulted one of the male security guards.

The man was also allegedly involved in a brawl outside Love Machine nightclub on Malvern Rd on August 18.

Elliot was sentenced to life behind bars with a non-parole period of 29 years for shooting security guard Aaron Khalid Osmani and Richard Arow dead.

Detectives are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident and will release CCTV of the August 18 incident to assist in identifying those allegedly involved.
