A 14 year-old schoolgirl from Glen Iris will make history this month as the youngest ever contestant on the hit TV show The Voice.
Siena Fodera, a year 8 student at Loreto Mandeville Hall in Toorak, will be belting out an Aretha Franklin song during her blind audition, to be aired Tuesday on May 28.
“To be the youngest contestant is such a privilege and I know there will always be critics,” Sienna said.
“But singing is an expression which can be done at any age through lots of different emotions.”
The Voice is in its eighth season with international singers Boy George and Kelly Rowland and Aussie stars Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian as this year’s judges.

Siena couldn’t pick which judge she was most excited to sing for and said they were all “amazing”.
“To walk up on that stage and see the judges behind the chairs was really exciting. I had a whole mix of emotions,” she said.
Siena said she started singing seriously only two years ago, liked singing soul and RnB and was exploring her talent in songwriting
“I think the first season started when I was six or seven but throughout school people have told me I should audition,” she said.
“My friends at school don’t know yet: I can’t wait to see their reactions.”
The Voice airs on Channel 9 from May 19.
