After 14 years as an iconic eating spot in Prahran, French restaurant Chez Olivier has found a new home in South Yarra.
Unable to reach negotiations with landlords to stay at their Greville St venue, Chez Olivier has this week made the move to 268 Toorak Rd — replacing former French restaurant A La Bouffe — and is offering free Uber rides from Prahran to South Yarra from tonight as part of opening week celebrations.
Chez Olivier general manager Tiffany Bernard said her team — including head chef Sylvain Bernard — were delighted to be moving to the chic surrounds of South Yarra.
“We at Chez Olivier are thrilled to be bringing our little slice of Paris to the excitement and sparkle of Toorak Rd,” Bernard said.
“The move gives us an exciting opportunity to expand our iconic French hospitality to both our new, and beloved long-time and loyal customers and we’re delighted to be opening our doors in the new location.”
Bernard will continue to offer his famed French fare, with creme brulee and coq an vin on the menu.
Sister cafe/restaurant Chez Mademoiselle will remain at 123A Greville St, Prahran.
Customers are required to present their paid Uber fare at Chez Olivier and the restaurant will deduct the Uber fee from the overall bill. Minimum restaurant spend $50pp.
