Festive fun is coming to Toorak Village this weekend – just in time for that last-minute Christmas shopping rush.
A choir will be singing Christmas carols on Friday morning at the Tok H Centre and again on Saturday when other surprises are planned.
Children can get glammed up with free face painting at the front of the Toorak Place Arcade on Toorak Rd from 9am to 1pm.
Meanwhile, the village’s two funky Christmas mascots, Elfous The Elf and Rufous the Reindeer are dropping by from 10am to 1pm.
They’ll be handing out candy canes and posing for plenty of selfies.
Shoppers can also win themselves a $200 family dinner to enjoy in Toorak Village by finding an elf in its Christmas shop window displays.

The elf is clutching a black Toorak Village shopping bag, and once you find him, fill out an entry form with the location and your details, and drop it in to Traffic on Toorak Rd.
The winner will be drawn on December 31 at noon.
Toorak Village Traders Association president Tony Fialides said businesses were excited for the Christmas rush and making life easier for shoppers.
“We are one shopping strip able to give very personal service at a busy time of year,” he said.
