Coronavirus Stonnington: Woolworths Malvern, three Coles supermarkets deemed high risk

Stonnington shoppers have been put on notice with a cluster of supermarkets becoming high-risk locations for the coronavirus outbreak.
A string of Coles and Woolworths supermarkets in the municipality have been visited by customers who had tested positive for the deadly virus, with both stores posting notices this week.
On Thursday, October 15, Coles notified customers of an infected shopper visiting its Chadstone supermarket on October 5 and 6, its Malvern supermarket on October 6 and 8, and multiple visits to its Tooronga Village supermarket, near its head office.
Health authorities told Coles the infected customer was present in the Malvern store between 1.45pm and 2.15pm on October 6 and between 1pm and 1.30pm on October 8.
Meanwhile, an infected shopper visited the Tooronga Village supermarket on five occasions, including 3.15pm-3.45pm on October 2, 3.20pm-3.50pm on October 3, 1pm-1.30pm on October 7, 1.20pm and 1.50pm on October 9, and 12.30pm-1.10pm on October 10.
On Wednesday, October 14, Woolworths revealed a customer with a confirmed case visited its Malvern store on October 6.
The store had a deep clean on October 13 and was advised by DHHS there was no current risk to customers or team members and it was safe to visit the store.
Both supermarkets encouraged anyone who was in the affected stores at the selected times to monitor their health and to take a COVID test if they feel unwell anytime in the next 14 days.
