A Balwyn op shop which closed in November has been reopened under new management.

The store at 301 Whitehorse Rd is now known as Hope Community Op Shop after opening on February 8.

Hope is an outreach of St Hilary’s Kew and offers practical support and care of vulnerable people Boroondara through many programs.

It replaced the Medical Mission Aid (MMA) Op Shop.

Hope’s Kay Margetts said there had been an “amazing response from the community”, who were “thrilled” to have them back.

“It retains its small-shop charm and is stocked with good quality items at reasonable prices,” she said.
