Two men have been hospitalised near a Wangaratta primary school after allegedly being savagely gang bashed twice.

Two men have been rushed to hospital after an alleged gang bashing near a Wangaratta primary school.
It is understood a 44-year-old Barrack Heights man and a 20-year-old Wangaratta man were allegedly assaulted by three men on Thomson St about 9pm on Monday.
The duo then walked around the corner to White St near Yarrunga Primary School where it’s alleged they were assaulted for a second time by an unknown group of offenders.
The alleged victims sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Three men, a 41-year-old, a 46-year-old and a 49-year-old, all from Wangaratta ,were arrested soon after and released pending inquiries.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
