The ‘Middle Pub’ destined for big things under new ownership

A popular Goulburn Valley hotel, located quite literally in the heart of the town, is set to reopen this weekend with its famous beer garden set to be packed.

The popular Tatura Hotel is set to reopen on November 17, 2023.

An iconic Goulburn Valley pub is set to reopen this weekend, and boy are locals happy.

The Tatura Hotel, dubbed the ‘Middle Pub’ by adoring Taturans, will reopen under new ownership on November 17

Locals are salivating in their excitement for the hotel to reopen its doors.

Wendy Avery spoke glowingly of the “wonderful times” she had experienced at the Middle Pub

Another Taturan local mentioned how good it was to have owners Tom and Carolyn back in town.

“Love you long time … Hosts with the most amazing experiences in the world,” they said.

Others cannot wait for the pub to bring life back to Hogan St.

Tatura Hotel's famous beer garden will be pumping on Friday.

“It’s been a sad sight, walking past it, seeing it closed,” Marilyn Pell said.

Doors will open at 4pm on Friday afternoon, dinner will be available from 6pm and there will also be a band called Mystic & Co playing to commemorate opening night.

Mystic and Co are set to headline the Tatura Hotel’s grand reopening.

The Tatura Hotel is located at 162 Hogan St, next to the IGA supermarket and post office.

It has always been known for it spacious beer garden and beautiful interior.

The children's menu will be strictly gluten free, which Mel Mongan, a Shepparton local, is certainly excited by.

“This is so great. Went to the Goulburn Valley the other week and they had absolutely nothing on their kids menu that was gluten free … We had 3 year olds eating off the adult menu,” she said.

They are also looking for bar staff with valid Responsible Serving of Alcohol certificates.

The ‘Middle Pub’, aptly named for its geographical location in the centre of town.

The pub will also be hosting a Tatura Cup after-party, which is to be held at the Tatura and Shepparton Racing Club on November 25, 2023.
