Sean Everett, 20, pleaded guilty to failing to stop on police direction at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The court heard Everett was arrested, had his car impounded and made full admissions to the offending.

It was revealed Everett was “showing off” his car and spotted police which caused him to “panic” and drive off.

Everett’s defence lawyer Emma King said Everett was described as “kind” and “generous” in his character references.

Ms King said Everett was a “young man who has made a very poor decision but has a bright future ahead of him”.

Everett’s licence was disqualified for a period of six months and was placed on a good behaviour bond for 12 months without conviction.
