Shepparton Magistrates’ Court: Alleged murderous triumvirate nearing Supreme Court date

Three people charged with murdering a young Wangaratta man whose body was found in a burnt out car have again faced court.

The three people charged with the murder of a Wangaratta man whose body was found in a burnt out car in the state’s north on Christmas Eve have faced court again.

Danny Clarke, 39 of Shepparton, Kylie Anne Stott, 38, of Shepparton and Mooroopna’s Dimitri D’Elio, 25, are charged with murdering 19-year-old Wangaratta man Charlie Gander.

Mr Clarke appeared in the Shepparton Magistrates' Court on remand, while Mr D’Elio and Ms Stott appeared via video link in prison.

Gander’s body was found on December 24, 2022 after firefighters were called to a car fire at Bunbartha

After the fire was extinguished, emergency services found the body of Mr Gander inside the vehicle.

The three were charged with the murder on December 30, 2022.

The trio are also charged with one count of arson.

They have all been in remand since early January 2022.

Kylie Stott's and her co-accused will face a committal mention on November 16th.

Magistrate Marita Altman remanded the trio in custody until November 16, 2022 when they will appear for a committal mention in the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court.
