Shepparton assaults: Man dead after Deane Court assault, two stabbed in Yorkshire Cres

A man is dead and two more remain in a serious condition after a shocking weekend of violence in Shepparton.

A man has died and two men are fighting for their lives after two separate fights in Shepparton on Saturday and Sunday night.

A 31-year-old Shepparton man died after an assault between two men in Deane Court on Sunday night.

Police were called about 9:30pm where the man was found unresponsive and died shortly after.

Police searched the area and found the second 42-year-old man seated in a white Chery SUV parked one street away on Oconnell Ct.

He was arrested and taken into custody and is assisting police with the ongoing investigation.

On Saturday night, in a separate incident, four men were allegedly involved in a brawl which saw two men taken to hospital with life-threatening stab wounds.

It is alleged one man stabbed two men with an edged weapon near the intersection of Middlesex Cres and Yorkshire Cres about 11:15pm

A 20-year-old Shepparton man received a life-threatening injury to the lower body and a 35-year-old Shepparton man received a life-threatening injury to the torso.

Both were flown to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.

The 20-year-old is in a stable condition while the 35-year-old is in a serious but stable condition.

A 32-year-old Shepparton man was taken to Goulburn Valley Health with a minor upper body injury.

A 38-year-old Shepparton man was located nearby with a non-life-threatening injury to the upper body.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established and the investigation is also ongoing.
