The driver of a car has died near Shepperton after their car hit a tree.
Emergency services were called to Mitchell Rd in Kialla just before 2pm to reports of a crash.
The driver, yet to be formally identified, could not be revived.
Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police believe the driver could have experienced a medical episode prior to the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner by Victoria Police.
