A Mooroopna man has been arrested after an alleged fatal hit-run on a bush track in Toolamba on Wednesday following a verbal stoush.

A man has died following an alleged hit-run in Toolamba that occurred following an altercation on a bush track.
A 53-year-old Invermay Park man, assisted by a friend, was on his way to get his broken Ford sedan at 2.20pm on Wednesday.
When they arrived at the scene, several men surrounded the car, before an argument broke out.
When the men were returning to their vehicles, a 32-year-old Mooroopna man allegedly struck the Invermay Park man before allegedly fleeing the scene.
He was arrested a short time later in Mooroopna while the alleged victim was flown to hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The Mooroopna man will be interviewed by police today.
