Male injured in Balmattum workplace accident

A man has suffered serious injuries after a workplace incident in the state’s north yesterday afternoon.
The man, aged in his 30s, suffered upper and lower body injuries in the incident in Balmattum.
He is believed to have suffered burns, and it is being treated as a workplace incident.
Paramedics were called to an incident at around 4:55pm on December 5.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene and the man was airlifted to hospital in Melbourne.
Balmattum is located in the Strathbogie Shire Council, and is situated between the towns of Euroa and Violet Town.
WorkSafe inspectors are attending the workplace to determine what further action is required.
