Firefighters respond to battle house fire on Baden Dr, Toolamba

Firefighters have rushed to extinguish a wild blaze at a Toolamba home after they discovered the house “well alight”, with smoke visible across the community.

Firefighters have rushed to extinguish a wild blaze at a Toolamba home after they discovered the house “well alight”.

Dozens of CFA and FRV firefighters responded to house fire on Baden Dr, Toolamba on Tuesday afternoon.

A CFA spokeswoman said units were called to the fire at about 1.55pm.

“On arrival, firefighters found the single storey house well alight,” he said

“The fire was brought under control just before 3pm.”

“CFA has nine vehicles on scene supported by FRV.”

A advice message was issued for the community, stating smoke may be visible from nearby roads and communities.

It said there is no threat to the community, but locals were advised to stay informed and monitor conditions.
