35-year-old Tatura man charged over robbery at Byrneside service station

A Tatura man has been charged after he allegedly held up a Greater Shepparton service station.

A Tatura man has been charged after he allegedly held up a Greater Shepparton service station late last month.

The 35-year-old man entered a Byrneside service station at 4.45am on August 30 where he allegedly demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene with an alleged loot of $500 in cash and 80 packets of smokes.

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged him with robbery and common law assault.

The man will appear at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
