A person has been rescued from a vehicle after a single vehicle crash on a busy freeway, 50km north of Melbourne.
Emergency services responded to a crash involving a ute on the Hume Fwy after the Wandong exit near Wallan about 11.51am on Tuesday.
It’s believed a cream Toyota LandCruiser left the road and rolled down an embankment, landing on its side.
The female driver and sole occupant was extracted from the vehicle and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have blocked Melbourne-bound lanes after the Wandong exit with motorists advised to expect southbound delays.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
