The future Roger Federer or Serena Williams could emerge from the ranks of Lum Reserve Tennis Club over the next few weeks.

The Wheelers Hill club’s Australian Open on-court experience is taking place tomorrow before an open day to showcase the club and its coaching run by Mad Athletes.

Excited youngster will hit Melbourne Park with coach Michael Dracos thanks to Tennis Australia, with the young stars getting a chance to have a hit on Rod Laver Arena before the players walk out.

They’ll then remain on-court and high-five the players as they walk past, with one lucky youngster getting to toss the coin.

“This is something money can’t buy,’’ Dracos said.

“The kids will play for about half an hour and a parent and the child are free to stay for the day and watch some world class tennis.

“It’s great seeing the kids’ faces light up as they walk into Melbourne Park and see the world’s best sporting facility.”

Last year youngsters from Lum Reserve got to meet rising Australian star Alex de Minaur and former US Open champion Sloane Stephens, Dracos said.

The club’s open day will be held on February 9 and showcase everything Lum Reserve has to offer.

Festivities will kick off at the Earlwood Drive venue from 11am with bookings needed for coaching sessions but free play is available on spare courts.

There’ll be plenty on offer including prizes and giveaways, a sausage sizzle, a jumping castle and membership specials available.
