In a blow to bargain hunters, a customer favourite is set to shut at The Glen Shopping Centre.

Bargain hunters have been dealt a blow, with The Reject Shop to close its doors at The Glen Shopping Centre.

The popular discount retailer will shut at the Glen Waverley complex this month.

It’s the second Reject Shop to close in the eastern suburbs this year, following the departure of the outlet at Stud Park Shopping Centre.

Vicinity Centres regional manager Andria Carniato said it understood some customers would be disappointed to see the store close.

“We see this as an opportunity for our team to work with other retailers to fill this space and this is part of our business as usual at a shopping centre,” Ms Carniato said.

“We’re always looking at our retail mix to ensure we’re meeting the changing demands of our customers and we’re well progressed to launch a new look retailer, in time for the peak Christmas trading period.

“Vicinity has a longstanding relationship with The Reject Shop across our portfolio of 60+ centres and will continue to work in partnership with The Reject Shop team.”
