It’s been standing for more than 50 years and is one of the most famous drinking holes in Melbourne’s outer east.
The Burvale Hotel, commonly known as ‘The Burv’, was built in 1968 and grabs its name from its location on the corner of Burwood Highway and Springvale Rd in Nunawading.
It’s generally a hot spot for tradies having knock-off drinks, pool competitions, and sports fans watching games and massive boxing or UFC fights.
Managed by the ALH group, it’s also remained one of the few venues for live music in the outer east, with many well-known Australian acts and cover bands strutting their stuff on weekends.
Covid-19 has turned off at the amps at the pub for most of 2020 and 2021, with plenty of shows scrapped or postponed.
But live music fans do have two shows to look forward to which are slotted in for next year – the Forever 80s tribute on March 26, and the return of pub rock kings Rose Tattoo on May 7.
Until then, see if you can spot yourself with a beer in hand and rockin’ out in this gallery of pictures we’ve compiled from past shows at the venue between 2017 and 2020, taken from the pub’s Facebook page.
