Surrey Hills: man stabbed and robbed on Whitehorse Rd
A man who doesn’t speak English was stabbed and robbed in a random attack as he walked along a busy road. Police are calling for witnesses and have released CCTV images of the car involved.

A man was stabbed and robbed in a random attack in Surrey Hills.
The 31-year-old Surrey Hills man was walking along Whitehorse Rd about 11.40pm on Thursday, May 9 when a silver Holden Commodore Sedan pulled up beside him.
Senior Constable Alistair Parsons said two men got out of the car and approached the victim, yelling at him.

The man, who does not speak English and did not know the men, clutched his satchel bag to his chest, before one of the offenders stabbed him in the leg twice.
The men stole his satchel, which contained bank cards and cash, and ran back to the car before it drove off.
Box Hill detectives have released images of the car in hope someone might be able to provide information about the incident or the offenders.
One of the men has been described as about 180cm, either caucasian or Middle Eastern in appearance, and was wearing a carp and dark-coloured shirt.
The other is also believed to be either caucasian or Middle Eastern in appearance, had short curly hair and was wearing a white hooded top.
