From uni nights at The Nott to rocking out to ACDC and Skyhooks at the Village Green, many people have fond memories of nights out at pubs and clubs across Monash.

The Nott, a popular spot for Monash uni students, was established in 1870 and has been continually licensed ever since.

It was owned by the late Kath Byer from 1936 until her death in 2010.

Ms Byer was known as the “grand lady of the Nott’’.

Many punters also have great memories of going to gigs at the Village Green in Mulgrave.

Australian rock royalty has played at the venue over the years, including Skyhooks, Cold Chisel, The Angels and INXS.

Many may also vaguely remember big nights out on the dancefloor at the Mountain View Hotel in Glen Waverley or Amadeus nightclub at the Matthew Flinders Hotel in Chadstone.

Take a trip down memory lane with these vintage pictures.
