Police are asking the public for help to catch the thieves who ram raided a tobacco store at the North Ringwood Shopping Centre and stole more than $1000 worth of cigarettes.
Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives believe the offenders drove two cars to the Warrandyte Rd shopping centre at 1.45am on March 25.
One car, a grey Kia Seltos SUV, was rammed into the security shutter of the cigarette store.
Once inside, the offenders nabbed more than $1000 worth of cigarettes.
They fled the scene in both cars.
Police believe the Kia was involved in a minor crash into a sign outbound on EastLink near High Street Rd where it was dumped and offenders fled in the second vehicle.
The second vehicle is yet to be identified but it is believed to be a small silver or white hatch.
The Ringwood North Bakers Delight was damaged during the burglary.
Investigators wish to speak to anyone with information about the cars or the burglary.
