Noble Park man, Oakleigh man charged after attempted Eastwood Golf Club ATM theft
A failed ATM heist at the Eastwood Golf Club sparked a police chase through the eastern suburbs, ending with two men being caught and charged.

Two men have been charged after they attempted to make off with the Eastwood Golf Club’s ATM before fleeing from police.
Officers allege the two men forced their way into the Liverpool Rd, Kilsyth South club at 4am on Monday morning and set off the alarm.
Officers attending the alarm spotted the pair inside the building moments before they allegedly fled in a Jeep Cherokee fitted with stolen number plates.
A chase ensued throughout Ferntree Gully, and the pair dumped the Jeep on Mont Albert Rd, Boronia.
Investigators believe one of the men forced entry into a Chestnut Ave home and stole car keys but was unable to steal the car parked in the driveway.
Shortly after, the police dog squad busted the pair close by.
Maroondah detectives charged a 43-year-old Noble Park man with burglary, aggravated burglary, theft and possessing a drug of dependence.
A 46-year-old Oakleigh East man was also charged with burglary, attempted theft and possessing a drug of dependence.
The pair have been bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on December 18.
