In the early 2000s The Pool Room was the place to be for a big night out in Melbourne’s outer east, with hoards of uni students and keen party goers flocking to the Ferntree Gully nightclub.
The Pool Room was renowned for throwing wild themed nights such as the Playboy party, naughty and nice themed night, Halloween ragers and back to school celebrations.
The Burwood Highway venue had more than 50 pool tables, a bar, a beer garden, live music and a pumping dance floor.
After 10 years in business, The Pool Room closed in 2011, and later became the Arthur Daly clearance warehouse.
Arthur Daly moved out earlier this year and it is unclear what is next for the venue.
The Pool room is one of many lost nightclubs in the eastern suburbs including Dakota, Jooce, Stylus and more.
