Firefighters have battled a house fire in Mont Albert North, after a blaze broke out in the kitchen.
Fire Rescue Victoria said crews were called to the Mitchell Rd home at 2.34pm Monday.

They found a fire in the kitchen had spread to the roof.

Four appliances were called to the scene, with the fire declared under control at 3.40pm.

Crews remain at the scene.
