Another high-rise tower could join the Glen Waverley skyline, with plans unveiled for a $48 million development.

After the completion of the $450 million three-tower luxury residential address, Sky Garden, at The Glen shopping centre earlier in the year, another developer is planning a 21-storey building nearby, at 251-261 Springvale Rd.

Monash Council is seeking community feedback on Hongxing Springvale Road Pty Ltd’s plan for a 76.4m mixed-use development, which would include six retail tenancies/food and drink premises and 147 dwellings.

The building would include four levels of basement carparking providing 167 parking spaces, and three levels of retail space.

The council is also seeking feedback on developer Golden Age’s $30 million plan to build 77 townhouses at 583 Ferntree Gully Rd, Glen Waverley, near Brandon Park Shopping Centre and the Village Green Hotel.

Golden Age Group is planning to develop “a boutique community of luxurious townhomes, inspired by the majesty of the Melbourne suburban landscape”.

According to the council, the development will include 13 two-storey dwellings and 64 three-storey dwellings.
