Fake pimp estate agent blackmail: Ruibo “Bob” Zhang jailed for scaring student into having sex

A creep estate agent who posed as a Chinese gangster to blackmail and threaten a young Monash University student into sex has been jailed.

Ruibo “Bob” Zhang, 30, was sentenced in the County Court on November 27 to a minimum 20 months after pleading guilty to two counts of procuring sexual act by fraud, blackmail and making a threat to kill

Zhang was as an agent for AlexKarbon Real Estate when he tormented the Chinese woman, aged in her early 20s, the County Court heard.

Zhang, from Box Hill South, offered the woman work as a “high-end” escort earning up to $10,000 a week.

He arranged for her to attend an “interview” at a Southbank apartment where she had to have sex with him.

Zhang later threatened the woman into having sex with him at a North Melbourne apartment block.

The woman, who believed Zhang was a gangster, also gave him $600.

He continued to harass and threaten the woman so she reported him to police.

Zhang was jailed for a maximum two years and six months’ prison.

DRUG DEALER DAD WALKS FREE

A drug dealing dad has walked free from court.

Prparim Rustemovski, 33, was sentenced in the County Court on November 15 to 53 days – time served – after pleading guilty to three counts of trafficking cocaine.

Rustemovski was busted following a police sting in 2017.

The father-of-three sold almost 80gm of coke to undercover cops.

He was also found at his home with a number of guns including an unsecured Beretta 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun.

Rustemovski, who also pleaded guilty to being a non-prohibited person possessing an unregistered longarm, was placed on an 18 month community correction order.

NO JAIL FOR SEX FIEND

A creep who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl has avoided a jail sentence.

Daryl King, 59, was sentenced in the County Court on November 15 to a two year community corrections order after pleading guilty to two charges of indecent assault.

King assaulted his victim at a beach in 1980.

Judge Michael Tinney said King’s clean record since the incident spared him jail time.

“As I say, you were only 19 and so there is that reduction in your culpability, but plainly you would have known that what you were doing was seriously wrong and criminal,” Judge Tinney said.

King will also need to perform 400 hours of community work.

DOPE GROWER DAD JAILED

A dope grower dad caught with a “sophisticated hydroponic set-up” at a Boronia home has been jailed for at least 11 months.

Hien Ngo, 61, was sentenced in the County Court on November 12 after pleading guilty to one charge of cannabis cultivation.

Ngo was nabbed outside the Tulip Crescent house in November, 2018 following a police stake-out.

Police caught Ngo with a bag of large bag of weed while he was in a car driven by his daughter.

Officers raided the house and seized 75 plants weighing almost 85 kilograms.

Police also discovered an electrical bypass.

Ngo was sentenced to a maximum 21 months’ prison.

He had spent 79 days in custody at the time of sentencing.

GUN-TOTING THUG GIVEN MORE JAIL TIME

A violent thug who shot at a man during a brutal Leopold home invasion has been given more time in jail.

The Director of Public Prosecutions appealed the sentence of Wol Wol – jailed at the County Court in November 2018 to a maximum five years and three months’ prison with a non-parole period of three years and six months.

Wol pleaded guilty to several charges including aggravated home invasion after he stormed the Leopold home while a couple and their son were asleep in November 2017.

Wol and his co-offenders smashed through the front door and ransacked the house.

The dad woke up and was immediately threatened by gun-toting Wol.

His wife had her mobile phone snatched out of her hands while calling triple-0.

Their son was assaulted by one of the menaces who hit the boy over the head with a laptop.

The dad told Wol to leave but he fired the gun at him.

Luckily the man was uninjured and Wol and his brutes fled.

The DPP successfully argued Wol’s original sentence “failed to properly reflect the gravity of the offending”.

The Supreme Court of Appeal resentenced Wol to a maximum seven years and six months’ with a non-parole period of five years and three months.
