French-owned chain Decathlon is going to open its first Victorian store in Box Hill South.

It provides equipment for nearly every physical activity — from volleyballs to trampolines — and the clothing to match.

Sporting clothes and shoes are available for women, men and children, with women’s fitness pants starting from as low as $9.
Most of Decathlon’s products come from the chain’s more than 20 exclusive brands, which include labels such as Kalenji, Artengo and Domyos.
The retail giant has more than 1200 stores in 30 countries around the world and opened its first Australian store in Sydney last year as it celebrated its 40th birthday.
An online Decathlon store first started offering products to Australia in April 2016, and now also ships to New Zealand, based out of a Sydney warehouse.
Whitehorse Leader believes the shop will be opening at 249 Middleborough Road, Box Hill South, where Repco, Petbarn and Amway stores are located.
More information will follow an announcement on Monday, June 18.
