Two gym buddies who ran a mail-order business selling “seriously large quantities” of steroids and cocaine in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs have been dealt prison sentences.
At the County Court on March 22, Eden John Turkovic, 27, was sentenced to eight years’ jail, with five to be served before becoming eligible for parole, while Paul Millan, 33, was ordered to spend seven years’ jail, with four to be served before being eligible for parole.

The court heard Turkovic spent more than $90,000 importing steroids from Ukraine and China between July 2015 and November 2016, having parcels delivered to nine post office boxes in suburbs including Mitcham, Box Hill North and Doncaster Heights.
He then repackaged and sold the steroids to fellow gym-goers, with Millan getting in on the business in March 2016.
The pair sent more than $70,000 to the US in August 2016 after Turkovic visited the country, before receiving 150.83 grams of pure cocaine in five packages.
They packaged and dealt the cocaine out of units on Thiele and Maxia streets in Doncaster and a storage unit on Simla St, Mitcham.

Both were arrested when police raided the Thiele St unit on November 18, where cocaine with an estimated street value of up to $360,000 was found.
Judge Elizabeth Gaynor said while the pair were only dealing cocaine for a few months, in that time they sold “a seriously large quantity”, and it was clear the business was “very much ramping up”.
Quantities of other illegal drugs, including ice and an oestrogen blocker, which were deemed for personal use, were also found in their possession.
The court heard both men used steroids and had a cocaine addiction before being arrested, but since being bailed had stopped using drugs.
Judge Gaynor said she accepted they both fell into using steroids in their early 20s due to body image issues.
“You a very tall man, six foot five, and had a skinny frame and hence you became involved in gym and body fitness and bodybuilding,” she told Turkovic.
Judge Gaynor said the men had essentially turned their lives around since being arrested, but had to be imprisoned to deter other drug dealers.
“I have no doubt and very much hope that on your release from prison you will both go on to lead the successful lives that I have no doubt that you can,” she said.
“The law makes it very clear if you engage in the sort of offending that you did to the extent that you did, that this is the response.”
