A ROSANNA Golf Links Primary School student has been chosen to play football for Victoria.
Caleb Karavas will play for the under 12s in the School Sport Australia carnival in Darwin from August 12 to 18.
The school’s PE teacher Michael Brunelli said Caleb was one of the most mature Grade 6 athletes he had ever seen.
The Macleod Junior Football Club star tried out for last year’s carnival when he was in Grade 5 but missed the cut.
Mr Brunelli said he also chose Caleb to be captain of the school’s footy team earlier this year.
Caleb’s family have moved to Diamond Creek and he has applied to go to Montmorency Secondary College next year.
