Her Honour Judge Lawson said both men had pleaded guilty to the serious “systematic” pre-planned attacks on commercial businesses, which were mainly post offices.
Their spree began on Monday, January 8, about 3.40am when the group of four drove two stolen vehicles to Braeside Australia Post and used hand tools to get inside.
The court heard they loaded the vehicles with “a large number” of letters and parcels before hitting Australia Post Business Hub Burwood, where they also stole a “large amount” of letters and parcels.
Four days later on Friday, January 12, about 3am, the four men broke into Australia Post Business Hub Braeside and took more letters and parcels.
When the thieves returned to Australia Post Business Hub Burwood on Thursday, January 18, about 3am, they stole letters, parcels, a laptop and the CCTV unit, the court was told.
The group then went on to break into Oakleigh radio-controlled appliance store XM2 at 5am, causing $2552.75 worth of damage, while stealing $158,000 worth of drones and other products.
Brittain and Ngyuen hit Australia Post Clayton South on Wednesday, January 24 at 4.35am and took another large quantity of parcels and letters.

Police began surveilling the men on January 30 and saw Brittain stealing a trailer before he attempted to ram raid DJ City in Oakleigh — while on a cancelled licence.
The pair broke into Oakleigh South’s Inventory Placement on January 31, about 4.15am, before attempting to steal a ute and a van, and stealing a car’s number plates.
Police arrested the pair at an address in Keysborough later that morning.
A search warrant uncovered several prohibited weapons, including an extendible baton and knuckledusters, and falsified licences and number plates.
Both men had previously been convicted of a series of offences, including drug trafficking, theft and driving offences.
