A cafe in Nunawading and a hardware store in Glen Iris are the latest Covid exposure sites in the east.
A person with the virus visited The Peddler Cafe, 295B Springfield Rd, Nunawading on July 16 between 10.10am and 10.55am.
Tait Home Timber & Hardware (Mitre 10), at 15 Weir St Glen Iris, has also been added to the exposure sites list, after an infected person visited on July 15 between 12.30pm and 1.20pm.
Both sites have been listed as Tier 2 – people who visited the venues during those times should get tested urgently and isolate until they have a negative result.
Other exposure sites include Blackburn train station, where a person with the virus visited between 6.45am – 7.30am on July 15.
The person caught the train to Southern Cross station at about 6.59am.
They then returned to Blackburn station between 5.13pm – 5.45pm.
The site has been listed as Tier 3 – people should monitor for any symptoms.
Anyone who caught the train at the same time should get tested urgently and isolate until you have a result.
A person with the virus also visited Leo’s Fine Food & Wine Supermarket, at 2 Summerhill Rd, Glen Iris, between 12.33pm – 1.18pm on July 14.
The site has been listed as Tier 2 – shoppers who attended at the time should get tested urgently and isolate until you have a negative result.
A person with the virus also visited Genesis Health & Fitness 24/7, 321 Middleborough Rd
Box Hill South, from 8am – 10am on July 14.
That site has been listed as Tier 1 – anyone in the gym at the time should get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from exposure
A person with the virus also attended Overhear Coffee & Food, at 1369 Toorak Road
Camberwell, four times between July 14-17, as well as Woolworths Camberwell and Chargrill Charlie’s on July 14.
A person with the virus also visited TGF Butchers (formally Mountainview Select Meats), 289A Springfield Road, Nunawading from 10.20am to 11am on July 16. The site has been listed as Tier 2 – people who visited the venue at this time should get tested immediately and isolate until they have a negative result.
It comes after Oakleigh Central Shopping Centre was been added to the list of Covid exposure sites last week.
A person with the virus visited the Hanover St complex on the afternoon of Friday, July 9.
The male toilets at the centre have been listed as a Tier 1 exposure site.
Anyone who visited the male toilets between 2.40pm and 3pm should get tested immediately and quarantine from 14 days of exposure.
Anyone who visited the shopping centre between 3.55pm and 4.15pm last Friday should monitor for symptoms.
It comes after a popular Oakleigh cafe was also listed as a Tier 1 exposure site, after a person with Covid visited the venue last week.
Anyone who went to Vanilla Lounge, at 17-21 Eaton Mall, on Friday, July 9 from 2.45-4.30pm, must immediately isolate, get tested and quarantine for 14 days from the date of the exposure.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, July 14, Vanilla Lounge said it had just been informed of the news by the Department of Health.
“We are now a Tier 1 exposure site through no fault of our own,” the venue said.
“Contact tracing is now in place and we are assisting the relevant departments to ensure that everyone remains safe.
“Vanilla is temporarily closed to ensure that a deep clean is conducted and any staff members that were working on-site between 2.45pm and 4.30pm last Friday will be tested and isolating at home until Friday 23rd July.
“If you visited the premises between (those hours) please get tested and get in touch with the Department of Health for further information.”
