Monash Medical Centre enjoyed the visit of some special guests on Tuesday.
A group of police and protective service officers attended a hospital in Monash for the first time as part of the Coffee with a Cop program.
Mt Waverley police Acting Senior Sergeant Joel King said it was “good to see so many people … take the opportunity to speak to police in an informal setting”.
“Community engagement is an important focus for police in the Monash area so it was beneficial to be able to speak to local people in a relaxed environment,” he said.
“This really helps when trying to break down barriers between police and community members.
“It also gives police the opportunity to answer questions about crime prevention, local issues and have a general chat about what’s been happening in our area.”
